Role: Delivery Director


Xolvio is looking for a Delivery Director to lead and coordinate complex software consulting projects. This role blends delivery leadership, client partnership, and technical insight to ensure high-quality outcomes across distributed teams. 

This is a full-time, remote-first position. Candidates will be working with a mixture of EU and US-based clients.  They must be based in the UK and willing to work consistently up to 2 PM US east coast time with work hours occasionally (on average once per week) extending even later.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivery Leadership: Oversee project execution across multiple teams, ensuring on-time and in-scope delivery.
  • Client Collaboration: Serve as the technical bridge between clients and delivery teams, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, and quality.
  • Planning & Prioritization: Define objectives, milestones, and delivery timelines in partnership with technical and product leads.
  • Risk & Quality Management: Identify risks early, drive mitigation plans, and uphold Xolvio’s quality standards.
  • Process Enablement: Facilitate ceremonies, monitor delivery velocity, and continuously improve team efficiency.
  • Technical Insight: Translate technical concepts into clear plans and communicate progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Required:

  • Proven experience as a Delivery Manager, Technical Project Manager, or Program Lead within the software industry.
  • Solid technical understanding of modern web and cloud stacks (e.g. TypeScript, GraphQL, AWS, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Experience with distributed systems.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing distributed engineering teams and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent English language skills, including the ability to understand and communicate complex topics in the software domain.


Valuable, but not required:

  • A background as a software system architect or software developer.
  • Experience with high levels of software quality and delivery automation.
  • Direct experience working with event sourcing.
  • Experience building software with Typescript, Apollo GraphQL, KurrentDB, and CDK.
  • Domain knowledge with the US healthcare system, software developer tools, and/or quantum computation.
  • German language skills.
