Role: Technical Delivery Manager (Outside IR35)
Join Xolvio, a boutique software consultancy partnering with tier-1 clients such as T-Mobile and Volkswagen. We specialise in high-quality, event-sourced, AI-driven applications for organisations that expect exceptional engineering. As deeply technical software architects, we prioritise creativity, curiosity, and rigorous engineering while keeping space for innovation to thrive.
We’re looking for a UK-based Technical Delivery Manager (Outside IR35, B2B) to help guide and coordinate complex consulting projects across distributed teams. In this role, you’ll collaborate with both European and US clients, bringing together delivery leadership, client partnership, and technical understanding to ensure projects stay aligned, predictable, and successful.
This is a remote-first role within a highly collaborative international team. Because we operate across Europe and the US, we keep a small daily overlap window for joint collaboration, typically until 2 PM US Eastern Time, with occasional flexibility when needed for key milestones.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery Leadership: Oversee project execution across multiple teams, ensuring on-time and in-scope delivery.
- Client Collaboration: Serve as the technical bridge between clients and delivery teams, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, and quality.
- Planning & Prioritization: Define objectives, milestones, and delivery timelines in partnership with technical and product leads.
- Risk & Quality Management: Identify risks early, drive mitigation plans, and uphold Xolvio’s quality standards.
- Process Enablement: Facilitate ceremonies, monitor delivery velocity, and continuously improve team efficiency.
- Technical Insight: Translate technical concepts into clear plans and communicate progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Agency-Style Delivery: Must be comfortable with context switching and managing multiple client engagements.
Required:
- Proven experience as a Delivery Manager, Technical Project Manager, or Program Lead within the software industry.
- Solid technical understanding of modern web and cloud stacks (e.g. TypeScript, GraphQL, AWS, CI/CD pipelines).
- Experience with distributed systems.
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing distributed engineering teams and cross-functional initiatives.
- Excellent English language skills, including the ability to understand and communicate complex topics in the software domain.
Valuable, but not required:
- A background as a software system architect or software developer.
- Experience with high levels of software quality and delivery automation.
- Direct experience working with event sourcing.
- Experience building software with Typescript, Apollo GraphQL, KurrentDB, and CDK.
- Domain knowledge with the US healthcare system, software developer tools, and/or quantum computation.
- German language skills.
